The DatkAyim project team met with the head of the book publishing sector of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.

One of the activities of the Project “DatkAiym” is to promote the introduction of mechanisms for anti-discrimination and gender expertise of teaching materials, and increasing gender competence of educators, the project team DatkAiym had a meeting with Chynara Osmonovna, Head of the Department of Book Publication of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, Chynara Osmonova reported that the MES KR realizing the importance of institutionalization of mandatory anti-discrimination, including gender, expertise of standards and educational materials has started work in this direction, the Order of the MES KR from “16” September 2019 № 1096/1 approved the Regulation “On the procedure of anti-discrimination and gender expertise of educational and methodological complexes” and the Regulation “On the formation of a list of experts to conduct anti-discrimination and gender expertise of educational and methodological complexes”.
The project is ready to help introduce mechanisms for carrying out anti-discriminatory and gender audits of educational and methodological materials. Also within the framework of the project will be conducted training to improve the gender competence of educators.
DatkAyym project is implemented by the NGO “Agency for Social Technologies” and the Center for Creative Creation Danilo Dolci” with the support of the European Union.
