Kyrgyzstanis believe that there should be more women in politics!

66 percent of Kyrgyzstanis believe that there should be more women in politics. This is the result of a survey by the International Republican Institute (IRI).

At the same time, 52% of respondents attributed the answer to the fact that women are, for the most part, more balanced and reasonable than men.

Another 41 percent thought more women in politics would help empower young women to be more politically and socially active. Thirty-five percent said that women are better able to address issues related to women’s rights. And 30 percent believe that the composition of government should be similar to that of the entire population. The International Republican Institute (IRI) conducted the traditional poll among Kyrgyzstani people. One thousand 483 people from all over the country took part in the survey. The poll was conducted from November 21 to December 3, 2019.
